What is a crypto payment gateway?
A crypto payment gateway is the piece of infrastructure that lets a business accept cryptocurrency the way a card processor lets it accept cards. When a customer checks out, the gateway generates a unique deposit address for that order, shows a QR code, watches the blockchain for the incoming transfer, waits for enough confirmations to rule out a reversal, and then credits the merchant and fires a signed webhook so the store can release the goods.
